Privacy Policy

Who We Are

Our website address is: https://thepindocs.com (also accessible at https://swaffrico.com).

Pin Doctors (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides wrestling news, event coverage, media, and membership content. This policy explains what data we collect from visitors and members, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.

What Personal Data We Collect

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (a “hash”) may be shared with the Gravatar service to check whether you use it. The Gravatar service’s privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture is publicly visible alongside your comment.

Newsletter Sign-Up

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address (and name, if provided) in order to send you updates. Our newsletter is currently being set up; this section will be updated with the specific provider once it launches. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every email we send.

Membership & Account Registration

If you register for a membership or account on this site, we collect the information you provide during sign-up (such as name, email address, and membership tier selected). Members can view, edit, or delete their personal information at any time through their account, except for their username. Site administrators can also view and edit this information.

Payment Information

Paid memberships and premium content are processed through PayPal. We do not directly collect or store your full credit card or payment details on our servers — this information is handled entirely by our payment processor in accordance with their own security standards and privacy policy. We retain only the transaction records necessary for accounting, order history, and support purposes (such as amount paid, date, and membership tier).

Contact & Directory Forms

If you submit a form on this site (such as a contact inquiry, sponsorship inquiry, or directory listing request), we collect the information you provide — such as your name, email address, and message — in order to respond to your request.

Media

If you upload images to the site, avoid uploading images that include embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the site can download and extract location data from any images posted here.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies for your convenience, so you don’t have to re-enter this information when you comment again. These cookies last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we set a temporary cookie to check whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we also set several cookies to save your login information and screen display choices. Login cookies last two days, and screen option cookies last a year. If you select “Remember Me,” your login persists for two weeks. Logging out removes your login cookies.

If you edit or publish a post (for site contributors/staff), an additional cookie is saved in your browser. It contains no personal data — it simply records the post ID of the article you just edited, and expires after one day.

We may also use cookies for basic site analytics (see below).

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site, such as which pages are most popular. This data is generally aggregated and not used to personally identify you. You can review Google’s privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Embedded Content From Other Websites

Articles and pages on this site may include embedded content (for example, videos, images, or articles). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if you had visited that other website directly.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content — including tracking your interaction if you’re logged into an account on that site.

Who We Share Your Data With

If you request a password reset, your IP address is included in the reset email.

Payment information is shared with our payment processor, PayPal, solely to process transactions.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

How Long We Retain Your Data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely, so we can recognize and automatically approve any follow-up comments instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For registered users and members, we store the personal information provided in their profile for as long as the account remains active, plus a reasonable period afterward for accounting and legal purposes. Users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except their username). Administrators can also see and edit this information.

What Rights You Have Over Your Data

If you have an account on this site, are a member, or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you’ve provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include data we’re legally obligated to retain for administrative, legal, or security purposes (for example, payment records required for tax or accounting compliance).

To make either request, contact us at thepindoctors@gmail.com.

Where Your Data Is Sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam-detection service.

Payment data is sent to and processed by PayPal.

Newsletter data will be stored with our email provider once the newsletter launches (this section will be updated at that time).

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “last updated” date.
